Summary:
|
The Career Integrated Academics Committee provides oversight to Board Policy 6030, which recognizes the need to applied learning that will support student success in college and careers. This Committee also provides oversight, per the Five Year Plan for use of Perkins funding, of the use of Perkins funding in MDUSD high schools and middle schools, supporting Career Technical Education and career pathways. Perkins funding requires annual Board of Education approval of the membership of this advisory board for the use of Perkins funding. The Board approval timing is being adjusted to align with Board member assignment timeline. Perkins funding requires that this “Advisory” body meets at least once per year.
