Summary:
|
Funding from this grant supports student instruction, provides supplementary funding for purchase of instructional materials and supplies, expanded support for scheduling and management of classes, field trips, staff development, and childcare for children of adult students, with the purpose of transitioning adults to higher education and/or careers.
NOTE: Request for ratification due to change of due date and dissemination of this information by the California Dept. of Education (CDE), Adult Education Office (AEO).

Fiscal Impact

No impact on the General Fund. This grant would bring approximately $320,000 to $600,000 in revenue (based on benchmark achievement data from 2018-2019 and availability of federal funds) to Mt. Diablo Adult Education’s English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), and Adults with Disabilities (AWD) programs for enhancing programs and services provided adult students in these four program areas.
