Summary:
|
|
The La Familia Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide activities and support services to support Contra Costa County's Alcohol and Other Drug Services to approximately 50-60 students across four secondary high schools (College Park, Concord, Mt. Diablo, and Ygnacio Valley High Schools) in Mt. Diablo Unified. La Familia will provide a continuum of youth services and engage young people in pro-social activities proven to help with substance use abstinence. Staff are trained in youth development, substance use prevention and intervention, youth development, and outreach and will seek to engage youth to increase access to safer afterschool activities, positive adult role models, and access to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment in order to create opportunities for success in the young people who engage in the program. |
